What can I expect during a session?
We work in a very unique way. When you have a session with us we're very informal and laid back. We believe natural poses are the best so don't worry if it doesn't feel like we're capturing good portraits for you, you just might be surprised at how sneaky we can be when taking your photo! We believe that having a fancy camera doesn't make you a great photographer. Having an eye for capturing unique moments is our specialty and we love being creative with our portraits!

Your portrait session will include 1-2 hours of our time at the location of your choice. We'll discuss the location as well as other details before your session to ensure we capture exactly what you want. We like to do a mixture of posed portraits as well as candid portraits. If there are younger children in your group, we'll do all of the posed portraits first. If you have a large family group we prefer to take the large family portrait first and then work on the smaller family portraits.

What should I wear?
We love all types of styles, from super formal to laid back and casual. Wear clothing that reflects you and your personality. We suggest you avoid busy prints and wording on your clothing as it detracts from you as the subject of your portrait. We like the following color combinations, but of course, all colors are great!

Do you have a studio?
We do have a studio located at Jenn's house. We prefer studio shots for newborns and babies as it is a quiet environment and we have lots of props to use. If you prefer studio shots and would like us to come to your house we can do that. Make sure there is an area where we can set up our studio equipment, preferably in an area with great natural lighting.

When can I see my portraits?
We generally have a turn-around time of 2 weeks after your portrait session to view your portraits. Many times a preview of your portraits will be posted on our blog before the first week is up. Once your portraits are ready, you'll be notified by email and the email will contain the information to log in to our proofing gallery. It is a closed gallery so that only you may view your portraits, of course you can share the log-in information with anyone you wish. You portraits will be viewable in our gallery for 12 months and you can order prints directly through the gallery at any time within those 12 months.
